Has your summer been filling up quickly since we posted part one of our auction calendar? If you missed last week’s blog we gave insight into the first half of our June auctions. Today we have all the details on where we will be during the second half of the month, the type of auctions and what equipment will be sold at each one.
With that said, let’s start organizing the second half of your calendar so you can attend as many of our auctions as possible.
You’ll want to add two days in Houston, Texas to your auction calendar. June 19th we are in Houston for a Herc Rental and Ahern Rental auction. On the auction calendar there is rental fleet equipment from several large national rental fleets. That includes: earthmoving equipment, aerials, forklifts, skid steers, cranes, truck tractors, dump trucks, trailers of various types, attachments and support equipment. There will also be two 2015 Suzuki motorcycles up for auction, and a 2007 Polaris Ranger.
The next day we stay in Houston for a one owner liquidation retirement auction. Edgar Machinery, LLC., one of the premier rental companies in the Houston area, has decided after many successful years in the rental industry to close its doors and smell the roses. The equipment found at this auction was all purchased brand new and has been maintained to the highest degree. The hours are low and the machines have been well taken care of.
Our final two auctions in June take us to Pittsfield, Massachusetts on the 22nd, and Boston, MA on Friday, June 28th.
As always, we want to remind bidders on the importance of maintaining your winnings. Bidders are responsible for knowing which item they are bidding on. If you are unsure, please inquire before hand or do not bid at all. When you become the winning bidder at an auction, you have effected a contract and will be expected to pay for items in which you were evidenced to be the successful bidder. Our auctioneers will not honor “mistakes”.
Cash or company checks, accompanied by a current bank letter of guarantee should be made payable to Alex Lyon & Son. Everything will be sold as is, and where it is. For each unit 30-thousand dollars and above, 5.95% administration fee will be assessed when paying with cash or check. The standard fee of 8.95% will be assessed when paying with a credit card.
If you are looking to sell at a future auction with Alex Lyon & Son, it is important to remember that we will not accept any consignments without proper prior written seller content. All titled vehicles must have titles in the main office two days prior to auction. Titles not received by 48 hours prior to sale day are subject to a $250 fine. Finally, all machines must be dropped off with half a tank of fuel or there will be a seven dollar per gallon refueling fee charge.
What makes a Lyon Auction unique is that all of the equipment is in the same location. Companies are able to liquidate a large fleet of vehicles in a single auction. Lyon Auction is able to help well-known companies from the conception to the conclusion of the auction. This makes it headache-free and as enjoyable as possible for both the seller and buyer. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us, we’re listening!
